Sewing Trunk with 2 DOLLS

TRUNK: closed is 12 inches tall, 6 inches wide, 6-1/2 inches deep.

Construction is cardboard covered with illustrated paper.

Metal handle on one end.

Trunk condition: Fairly good, colors bright, the paper is torn loose a bit in a few places and needs glue. The paper is all there.

There were probably cardboard hangers to go in the slot on the top shelf. These are missing.

Drawer contains some pieces of material. Lid has cardboard liner with a couple of needle cards and a scissors that looks like the original.

It is marked Copyright MCMXLl (1941) Transogram Company Inc, A “Gold Medal” Toy

2 unmarked compo dolls are about 6-1/2 inches tall, one piece head-body-legs with molded hair on head and molded shoes on feet. Features are painted. Arms are separate and can be moved. The dolls are unmarked. They could use a little cleaning up but otherwise are in good condition. One is original to the trunk and the other isn’t but I don’t know which is which. The shorter one, in red sweater, has a harder, better quality finish. The other has a dull finish and some rough edges and I suspect is the original sewing doll.
